On the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, we are proud to share the inspiring story of Hiba Malak, a software engineering student at the Taub Faculty of Computer Science.
Hiba, a resident of Daliyat al-Karmel and the first in her family to reach the Technion, has gone through a path full of determination: from intensive grade improvement before admission, through coping with a challenging first semester, to an impressive academic rise that led her to the Dean’s List honor.
Beyond excellence in her studies, Hiba serves as a social ambassador in her village - she is studying for a teaching certificate and runs a volunteer learning center she established for young girls. “I carry with me the dreams of all those girls who see in us a breakthrough,” she says. We are proud of Hiba for the journey, the perseverance, and the inspiration she gives all of us.
