
The Excellent CS Students Program (SAMBA) 
Followships Award Ceremony was held on Monday, July 4, 2011, at the Taub 
Computer Science Building and was attended by an 
unprecedented multitude of guests, family 
members of the awardees and representatives of the fellowships granting families 
and foundation companies. Prof. 
Eli Biham, 
CS Dean and Prof. 
Eli Ben Sasson, 
SAMBA Program  supervisor, congratulated 
the excellent students on their achievements and the donating families and 
company representatives - Mrs. Nurit Lavi, Mr. Michael Kagan and Ms. Brigitte 
Bigar - spoke in honor and memory of the donors. On the part of the receiving 
students Ms. Inbal Livni spoke and thanked the donating families and companies.
This year fellowships 
were generously granted as follows:
The Yosefa Abramovitch Foundation, founded by 
Elbit Systems, bestowed Inbal Livni. in memory of Mrs. Yosefa 
Abramovich. The prize was presented by Mr. Israel Abramovich and his children - 
Talor and Hilli.
Pascal-Louis Perez who bestowed Shani Lesser. The prize was 
presented by his mother, Ms. Briggite Bigar. Additionally, Mr. Perez bestowed
Anat Etzion with a scholarship within the 
Lapidim Program for excelling in enterprise
and industry.
The Check 
Point Technologies Assaf Lavi Foundation who bestowed 
Omri Amarilio, Gal Lalush, Hadar Sivan, Anna Livshits, Shmuel Keter and Avigail 
Pagi. The prize was presented by Mrs. Nurit Lavi and Mr. Gadi Lavi. 
The Mellanox 
Technologies Guy Shevet Foundation who bestowed Guy 
Hefetz, Lioran Neeman and Eran Zimmerman. The prize was presented by Mrs. Yonit, 
Anat, and Mr. Eitan Shevet and by Mr. Michael Kagan.
The American Technion Society (ATS) who bestowed the 2010/11 Ernest Freudman 
Special Fellowship to Liora Neeman.
