Prof. Tomer Shlomi has received a grant for his research aimed at identifying vulnerabilities and new therapeutic targets for tumors of the gastrointestinal system.
The research will combine artificial intelligence, metabolomics, and proteomics to screen thousands of drug-like molecules, identify compounds that target pathways essential to cancer cells, and elucidate their mechanisms of action.
The most promising candidates will then be tested in models derived from patient tumors, with the goal of advancing the development of new and more precise treatments for gastrointestinal cancers.
Congratulations, and we wish you great success in your research!
