Warm congratulations to Prof. Tomer Shlomi, a faculty member in the Faculty of Computer Science at the Technion, on a significant exit: U.S. diagnostics giant Guardant Health has acquired the startup MetaSight in a deal valued at $150 million.
This marks a remarkable achievement for a technology developed at the Faculty. MetaSight, founded by Prof. Shlomi together with the aMoon fund, operates at the forefront of the bio-convergence field.
The company has developed an innovative platform based on metabolomics (the study of metabolism) and artificial intelligence, enabling early and accurate disease detection through a simple blood test (liquid biopsy).
