The Faculty's Competitive Programming Team Won the Bronze Medal at the ICPC Algorithmic Programming Competition in the SWERC - South West Europe Region
Igor Ivanov, Barry Weintraub, Zohar Nagel - members of Team No. 1 - won bronze medals and came in 7th place, solving 9/12 questions. The team qualified for the ICPC European Finals Competition called EUC, which will be held in February 2026 in Warsaw.
Maayan Salomon, Namir Ballan, Shirley Moshkin - members of Team No. 2 - came in 41st and honorable place, solving 7/12 questions.
Warm congratulations to the team coaches - Oren Hecht and Eden Yosef, and to the academic supervisor Prof. Gil Barkat - for their impressive achievements!
This year, 142 teams from across Europe participated in the competition. The teams had to solve 12 algorithmic questions within 5 hours. This is the 20th consecutive year that the faculty team has represented the Technion in the competition.
