Congratulations to Tomer Even, a PhD Student, on Winning the Global Google PhD Fellowship
Tuesday, November 25, 2025

Congratulations to Tomer Even, a PhD student, on winning the Global Google PhD Fellowship, which supports outstanding doctoral students conducting groundbreaking research in computer science and related fields, expected to influence the technologies of the future.

Each of the winners will receive $50,000 and a personal mentor from Google, “in keeping with the company’s commitment to nurture the academic community and cultivate future leaders.”

Tomer Even, a PhD student under the supervision of Prof. Keren Censor-Hillel, conducts research in algorithmic theory. His work focuses on designing algorithms for analyzing relationships between elements within massive data collections. Key examples include identifying patterns of connections among data elements or identifying dominant groups of elements that are connected to all others. Such problems lie at the heart of the field because of their significance and their occurrence in a wide range of large-scale data analysis scenarios. The algorithms Tomer develops are particularly efficient, and his unique contribution lies in developing new tools for designing and analyzing such algorithms.

Well done Tomer!!
