Computer Science Excellence Awards and Certificates Ceremony for the 2024/25 Academic Year

On Sunday, November 9, 2025, a meeting was held to award scholarships and certificates to outstanding students in Computer Science for the year 2025 at the Henry and Marilyn Taub Faculty of Computer Science at the Technion, and was attended by representatives of the families and companies granting the scholarships and the families of the outstanding students.

Prof. Oren Salzman moderated the ceremony and congratulated the outstanding students, and the Dean of the Faculty, Prof.  Eyal Kushilevitz, gave a speech and presented the certificates.

On behalf of the companies and families of the donors and in memory of the late Yosefa Abramovich, Assaf Lavie, Guy Shevet, and Dr. Ephraim Shaket, Mr. Israel Abramovich, Mrs. Nurit Lavie, Mr. Eitan Shevet, and Mr. Danny Shaket spoke, and the winning students thrilled the audience with entertaining stories about themselves, and thanked the families and companies that donated.

This year, certificates were awarded to 17 scholarship recipients in 2025, courtesy of the following:

The Yosefa Abramovich Scholarship, founded by Elbit Systems, was awarded to Yotam Cohen, Uri Suleiman, Pesia Avital Rotans, and Tomer Yeshaya. The certificates were presented by Mr. Israel Abramovich and his children Talor and Hilli.

The Asaf Lavie Foundation, a donation from Check Point Software Technologies Ltd., awarded a scholarship to Ido Amit, Yigal Spector, Netanel Koum, Gwen Weinberg, Hillel Horn, Ahmed Ganaim. The certificates were presented by Ms. Nurit and Mr. Gadi Lavie.

A scholarship named after Guy Shevet, donated by Nvidia, was awarded to Lin Atzi, Yazan Rabia, Yanai Zahavi, Itay Engel, Bashar Saadi, Inbar Menchel. The certificates were presented by Mr. Eitan Shevet.

A scholarship named after Dr. Ephraim Shakat, donated by the Shakat family, was awarded to Regev Avraham. The certificate was presented by his son, Mr. Danny Shakat.

Thanks to all participants and all donors and congratulations to all scholarship winners for the year 2024/25.
