Warm congratulations to Prof. Ron Kimmel on winning the Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality Prize for Exact Sciences named after Dr. Chaim Weizmann
The prize is awarded to him for his groundbreaking work in theoretical and practical research of methods for geometric processing of visual information. In particular, his work in recent years, which dealt with the seam between artificial intelligence and computational pathology, has revolutionized the speed and accuracy of medical diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer.
The Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality awards the prize in the name of Dr. Chaim Weizmann, President of the World Zionist Organization and the first President of the State of Israel, since 1943, to commemorate his birth. The prize is intended to encourage and stimulate researchers in the exact sciences, residing and working in the State of Israel.
