Warm Congratulations To Mayan Rivlin-Gilboa For Winning The Outstanding Lecture Award At The New Trends In DNA-Based Data Storage Conference!
Tuesday, June 10, 2025

Congratulations to Mayan Rivlin-Gilboa on receiving the Best Hot-topic Presentation Award at the New Trends in DNA-based Data Storage conference!

Mayan is a graduate student in the field of DNA-based data storage, under the supervision of Prof. Zohar Yakhini.

Her research, Sequence Determinants of CRISPR Off-Target Reaction, was conducted in collaboration with Prof. Zohar Yakhini, Guy Assa, Arya Das, and Prof. Mark Somoza. It focuses on large-scale mapping of off-target activity in the CRISPR genome editing system.

The study, carried out as part of a collaboration within the DiDAX project, utilizes advanced microarray technology developed in Prof. Somoza’s lab at the Leibniz Institute in Munich. More than 57,000 unique DNA sequences were analyzed to characterize how mutation positions affect the cleavage efficiency of CRISPR/Cas12a.

The findings contribute to advancing CRISPR precision and to the development of novel DNA-based information applications.
