Prof. Shaul Markovitch receives IJCAI-JAIR Best Paper Prize

Prof. Shaul Markovitch receives IJCAI-JAIR Best Paper PrizeCS congratulates Prof. Shaul Markovitch for receiving the 2014 IJCAI-JAIR Best Paper Prize for his 2009 paper in Journal of Artificial Intelligence Research (JAIR), "Wikipedia-based Semantic Interpretation for Natural Language Processing".

This prize is awarded annually to an outstanding paper published in JAIR in the preceding five calendar years. The paper is co-authored by Evgeniy Gabrilovich, Shaul's former Ph.D. student.

The prize will be awarded in the upcoming AAAI-14 conference, and Shaul has been invited to deliver a "Spotlight Track" talk about his work and its impact.
