Leading in Technology 2016 Event"Seventy percent of men in interviews ask whether the offered wage is negotiations, the number of women that ask that can be counted on one hand," said Maxine Fassberg, general manager of Intel Israel and vice president of Intel Corporation, in a unique panel held at the Technion and titled "initiatives" - leading women in technology.

The panel, led by Einav Galili, attended by Maxine Fassberg, Intel's CEO in Israel and vice president of Intel Corporation, President of Ben-Gurion University, Prof. Rivka Carmi, Professor Jun Elder Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Rona Segev, a partner and director at TLV Partners and Iris Shor CEO of "Elite ORIBI". The panel members spoke with the laughter and humor but also very sincerely about the many challenges on the way of women to the top of technology.

The panel was part of the annual event "Leading In Technology" - expansion of knowledge and openness to promote women's leadership in technology. The event, held for the second year, began awarding scholarships by Intel and EMC outstanding students and a dialogue titled "Presidents on the Edge" with Prof. Peretz Lavie, Technion President and Prof. Rivka Carmi, President of Ben-Gurion University, under the supervision of Einav Galili. The two presidents, who know each other from high school, discussed academia, the periphery, gender and the question of who is the student with highest potential for success. [Back to the news index]
