The Cyber Security Evolution in Autonomous Systems


Autonomous systems require connectivity, whether for getting data and instructions and whether for transmitting logs (as required by the regulation). This connectivity puts the autonomous systems at risk.

In recent decade the cyber security architecture in connected and autonomous systems has been evolving moving from IT security architecture to autonomous systems security architecture.

In this presentation we will first present the various cyber threats on autonomous systems and present major cyber breaches in recent years. Then we review the autonomous systems cyber security requirements. Finally, we will review the evolution of autonomous systems security architecture from the first steps of network separations, through network security to the current concepts of embedded end-point protection architecture.
