Laboratoire de Modélisation et Calcul (UJF)

The LMC is a research laboratory in Applied Mathematics, part of the Joseph Fourier University in Grenoble, France. It has 66 permanent scientific members, currently 49 Ph.D. students, and 4 post-doctoral researchers. The LMC is organized into five research teams:
  • partial differential equations,
  • computer algebra,
  • statistics & stochastic,
  • parallelism, and
  • geometric design & approximation.
The key scientific staff who will be involved in the project are members of the Geometric Design & Approximation research team. This team has 12 permanent scientific members and currently 8 Ph.D. students. Its main research areas are approximation, computational geometry, and CAGD (Computer Aided Geometric Design).
