I am a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science Department at the Technion, Haifa, Israel. My research domain is coding theory. I received my M.Sc. degree under the supervision of Prof. Ron Roth (who is currently my Ph.D. advisor) working on developing new coding techniques for multidimensional constrained systems. My current research focuses on coding for new applications in storage media such as flash memories and bit-patterned media.

Projects      

I was a member of Gozal — Condor High Throughput Computing research group in Israel. I have implemented a number of enhancements and addons to Condor, developed and maintained several portals for desktop computing at the Distributed Systems Lab in Technion under supervision of Gabriel Kliot, Mark Silberstein and Prof. Assaf Shuster:

High availability to Condor central manager	High-availability daemon to provide a backup for central managers in Condor. It was included in the official Condor 6.7.6 development release.
Replication service for Condor daemons	Data replication service for Condor daemons. It was included in the official Condor 6.7.18 development release.
Loadd	Condor startd-based tool for interactive balancing of batch executables load.
Superlink@Technion	Superlink, a genetic linkage analysis program, on top of BOINC, an open-source software for volunteer computing and desktop grid computing. This portal is intended for all the users in the world and encompasses computers in EGEE, OSG, Madison Condor pool and local Technion clusters.

• Summer 2012 internship with the Search Sciences team in Yahoo! Labs in Haifa, Israel. I worked on mixing transactional and nontransactional traffic in HBase.
• Summer 2011 graduate visit to CalIt2 in UCSD, La Jolla, CA. I worked on polar codes for m-user MACs.
• Spring 2009 internship with Windows HPC team in Redmond, WA. I worked on developing a cycle-stealing prototype for Windows HPC Server 2008.
