Shilat
- Bolted routes and climbing with natural protection.
Mevo Modiim - Ceiling, 8 meter long bolted route (8
runners), unique of its kind in Israel. Two last runners are
hard to clip, route grade about 7a.
Beit Arie - A wide variety of bolted routes.
There are two sites in the area, the main cliff and the
boulder.
Since the new "intifada" it is dangerous to climb there.
Artificial walls:
Olimpus at
Sportec, Yarkon park, Tel Aviv. For 50 shekels you get unlimited
climbs + harness. You can also rent a shoes for
additional 10 shekels. 'Club members' get unlimited climbs
for 20 shekels with their own gear.
Since I live in Haifa this is the most complete part of this climbing guide.
Mahtsevot near Beit Oren -
Climbing and abseiling. Very popular place. Bolted
recently (February 2002).
Routes from very beginners up to 7b.
Bouldering (from 'banana' to 'holes' routes).
Mostly face climbing, couple of overhang and crack routes.
Height: up to 18m.
Kiriat Shmona, Manara Cliff - South end. Near the middle
station of funicular.
Generously bolted (bolt each meter) very easy routes.
Kiriat Shmona, Manara Cliff - North end. 'The Bottle'.
Great place, a little of everything: chimney, face, lay-back
and overhangs. Total 2-3 routes with variations, up to 32
meters.

I've personally spend a couple of weeks in
mountaineering camp Bezengi in Kavkaz and I recommend it. They can
