Ph.D. Thesis


Short Biography:

Yaron Kanza is an assistant professor at the Department of Computer Science of the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. He received his Ph.D. degree in computer science from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (2005). Previously, he received a B.Sc. in mathematics and computer science (cum laude) and an M.Sc. in computer science (summa cum laude) from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He was a post-doctoral fellow at the database group of the University of Toronto, during the years 2004-2006 and joined the Technion in 2007. His research interests include: Database Systems and Database Theory (data integration, data exchange, uncertainty and incompleteness, access control); Managing data on the World-Wide Web (querying XML, XML retrieval, the Semantic Web); Geospatial data management and geospatial applications. Since 2014, Yaron Kanza is an associate editor of the ACM Transactions on Spatial Algorithms and Systems (TSAS).
