Collaboration with G. Kogan

Last update: 1.11.99

Background

From December 1995 till March 1998 G. Kogan worked with me as a research assistant and from October 1996 till March 1998 he was enrolled in the Graduate Program of Applied Mathematics as a conditionally accepted M.Sc. student.
I tried to get funding for his work in a project submitted to German Israeli Foundation (GIF), which was very well recieved but failed to get funding approval.
We parted on good and friendly terms and I wrote an open recommendation letter for G. Kogan, which should allow him to have a fresh start. Details concerning this collaboration and his studies are available upon qualified request.

Since October 1998 G. Kogan is a graduate student in the Mathematics Department of the University of Toronto.
