Sessions

Purpose of the special session:

We want to bring the various aspects of the interaction between Model Theory and Finite Combinatorics to a wider audience. Altough the work on 0-1 laws is by now widely known, the other applications on counting functions, graph polynomials, extremal combinatorics and regularity lemmas, have not yet received their deserved attention. More background .

Format of the special session:

Expository lectures (40 minutes) and technical lectures (20-25 minutes) and a problem session.

Speakers

NEW: List of speakers, titles of talks and abstracts as submitted to the AMS.
Updated last: 05. September 2008

Possibility of proceedings:

There is a possibility to publish a book in the Contemporary Mathematics Series of the AMS. The contributions should be related to the topic of the special session but not necessarily be based on the talks given. We most definitely do want to use this opportunity.
