The Grandfathers are

My parents's biography

The files from the Secret Police in Hungary

Here are the scanned files.

My father, Andras Majtenyi-Markovits, was arrested in February 1953 by the Hungarian AVH, and sentenced to 12 years in prison. In 1955 the sentence was reduced to 4 years, and in Summer 1956 he was freed as a consequence of the Hungarian Events of 1956. He left Hungary clandestinely and was given permission to reside in France. I have requested to see the files concerning my father (and other family members) and received a first portion of 336 pages in September 2013 only about my father.
