This link provides
a detailed information about The Golan Trail, in Hebrew.
Below we provide a partial translation of the trail description,
augmented with our own descriptions and tips.
Since in general the biggest issue when hiking in Israel is a water
supply, we will mention all possible water origins on the trail.
Here you can find a
link to Google Maps with the marked trail.
-
The trail starts at entrance to the Hermon mountain sky resort. There is
a water tap, but only when the office is open (which might be only in
winter).
-
The trail drops steadily to Keta mountain (marked on the map as Nun
Gimel (height point) of 1260 meter). The walk down is difficult, but the
trail is clear and requires walking over rocks. You can skip this whole
section completely if you have no transportation to get to the entrance
office. I such case you should start from near the junction of Majdal
Shams.
