תעתיק לטיני לטקסטים עבריים

הטקסטים הנמצאים במדור זה כתובים בעברית משמאל לימין ובאותיות לטיניות, כך שכל אות עברית מיוצגת ע"י אות לטינית או סימן מיוחד, ע"פ הטבלה הבאה:

L=ל M=מ N=נ S=ס &=ע P=פ C=צ Q=ק R=ר $=ש T=ת

יש להשתמש באותיות לטיניות גדולות בלבד.

רוב האותיות הלטיניות נבחרו לפי ההגיה שלהן בשפה האנגלית. יוצאות מן הכלל האותיות: C (צדיק) ו: X (חית), והתוים המיוחדים @ (טית), & (עין) ו $ (שין).

אין הבחנה בין אותיות רגילות לאותיות סופיות,ואין הבחנה בין 'ש' ימנית ל'ש' שמאלית.

לדוגמה, הפסוק הבא (שבו מופיעות כל 22 האותיות העבריות):

הנה ימים באים, נאם ה', ונגש חורש בקצר, ודרך ענבים במשך הזרע, והטיפו ההרים עסיס וכל הגבעות תתמוגגנה

ייכתב ע"פ תעתיק זה כך:

HNH IMIM BAIM, NAM H', WNG$ XWR$ BQCR, WDRK &NBIM BM$K HZR&, WH@IPW HHRIM &SIS WKL HGB&WT TTMWGGNH

Latin transliteration for Hebrew texts

The texts in this site are Hebrew texts, but they are written from left to right in Latin letters. Each Hebrew letter is represented by a single Latin letter or a single special symbol, according to the following table:

A=alef B=bet G=gimmel D=dalet H=hei W=waw Z=zayn X=xet @=@et I=yud K=kaf
L=lamed M=mem N=nun S=samek &=&ayn P=pei C=cadiq Q=quf R=rei$ $=$in T=taw

Note that only capital letters are used.

The end-of-word Hebrew letters are not differentiated from their middle-of-word counterparts (K, M, N, P, C). Also, there is no distinction between the letter "Shin" and the letter "Sin".
