Dear CAV'05 Program Chairs,

For more than 10 years I have been enjoying participation
in quite a few of CAV conferences. This time I am truly sorry that I cannot.

Following the boycott of Israeli academics,
initiated by British academics a few years ago and culminating
in their latest boycott of two Israeli universities,
I find it absurd to travel to Britain for academic activity,
_unless_ the organizers of CAV'05 publicly and explicitly denounce this act.

For more info see
among many others.

In case you wondered, this is a pure academic response
to a politically oriented offense, based on evil and ignorance.

With all due respect

The introduction in this article (look for Defining New Anti-Semitism) explains why this boycott is anti-semitic (and not anti-Israeli)
