Title: On a relation between shape recognition algorithms based on distributions of distances
Authors: Michael M. Bronstein and Alexander M. Bronstein
Abstract: Recent works have shown the use of diffusion geometry for various pattern recognition applications, including non-rigid shape analysis. In this paper, we analyze two recent methods for shape similarity due to Rustamov and Mahmoudi & Sapiro. We show the relations between the methods and propose a new shape similarity criterion combining the advantages of both methods.
