Title: A PROOF SYSTEM FOR ASYNCHRONOUSLY COMMUNICATING SEQUENTIAL PROCESSES.

Abstract:

We present a proof system for a CSP-like language assuming asynchronous communication. Its soundness and (relative) completeness are shown. Our proof system is close to the one proposed by Apt, Francez, and de Roever for (synchronous) CSP in that many proof rules are identical, and cooperation between proof outlines of processes is required. We argue that a proper definition of cooperation is far from trivial in our case. The applicability of our proof system is demonstrated by proving correct a distributed program for leader election.
