|Abstract:||We present a simulator which allows the testing of distributed protocols on various networks, synchronization models and running conditions. The simulator input consists of a network definition and a protocol written in a C-like protocol language. During simulation, the user may test the contents of variables and the delivery of messages using a run time monitor. At the end of the simulation statistics on the network performance can be obtained. A large variety of synchronization models is supported by the simulator, and it can Qe easily tuned to allow the simulation of new models. It was tested to be highly efficient both in running time and memory consumption.|
