|Title:||Computing the Hermite Normal form on an Integral Matrix

|Abstract:||We present an algorithm for computing the Hermite normal form of an n × n integral matrix M in O(n3 + n2 lg|M|) arithmetic operations, where |M| is the maximum of the absolute values of the entries of M. The intermediate results of the computation, in absolute value, do not exceed nn |M|2n. The algorithm is based on reducing the results of the computation modulo det M.|
