|Title:||Two Queues and One Server with Threshlod Switching
|Abstract:||Two queues, with Poisson arrivals and general service-time distributions are attended by a single server. When the server is positioned at a certain queue it will serve there exhaustibely, and at busy-period end will only switch to the other if the queue length there exceeds in side a predetermined threshold m. The treatment combines analytic and numerical methods to obtain the distribution of queue lengths at different sets of epochs. Only steady-state results are presented.|
