Luwain's Description

Luwain, a jolly, careless and happy-go-lucky adventurer, a bard of sorts, who doesn't give a damn about anything, including the mystery which seems to enshroud his origin.

Here's Luwain's description from the most competent source - his player:

It's party time! I'm here!

Luwain, an ever-happy bard/fighter/good-timer, an egomaniac and a totally reckless young Kreanian, will always find the least suitable moment to do the least expected things. It is clear for everyone that he has a major role in the Fellowship of the Flying Paladin. The nature of this role, however, is not clear to any of them, including, probably, Luwain himself.

Raised through his childhood (i.e. until the age of 52) in the Three Dwarves' Inn by his stepfather Izormi and the weird yet sweet old hag Marla, Luwain was being prepared for the kind of task he would have to perform in the Fellowship of the Flying Paladin. The nature of this task is, again, a matter of controversy: Marla would say, "We prepared him very well for the creation of the world", while Luwain claims that they prepared him extremely well for having fun and enjoying his life.

One dark spot in Luwain's biography is having once been chained and raped by a group of gnome ladies; if you ever see him, don't dare mention that.

[30 Sep 1995]

This description (which doesn't mention, for example, Luwain's feline ears and his many love affairs both within and without the Fellowship) may be complemented by an older one, a song, which dates back to March 1993. The most significant change is the fact that Luwain is no more an undead (he was resurrected about the same time the song was written!). Please look in this document to enjoy it (look here to see the historic situation beyond this description).

For an additional flavour, take a look at a song that Luwain wrote about The Hidden One:

The music is a tiny variation on "Here Comes the Rain Again".

The Hidden One

His axe he'll always wield
To cut the trees, to kill, to build
He didn't die during a combat
Burned by fire.

He does not cease to speak
He's nice, he's tough, a kind of freak
His hair is gone but I can assure you -
You could like him this way too.

So shut up Hidden-One!
'till I tell you to,
or you will never own
this sword-plus-two...

Well, you can speak again
as I'm almost done
Oh, and I'm sorry for
this dagger plus one...

hehehehehehehe....
