The Hidden One's Description

The Hidden One, a bearded human (bald until recently), High Priest of Lentu, god of creation (and also a lumberjack when the occasion presents itself).

Here is how Dovi describes the Hidden One: [26 Sep 1995]

The Hidden One

A no longer bald but very much bolder [see old description to get the point :) - Massi] medium-sized man who stands tall to a height of about 1.7 meters with black trimmed hair, a black beard and crystal-clear green eyes; to those who inspect closely he does seem a lot nicer than he looked a few months ago, some might even say he's attractive.

The Thing that might strike out when you first meet him is his outfit which consists of a black adamantite field plate mail and matching shield with the sign of LENTU - the God of Creation carved on it, for he is a high priest of that god, now and for ever, in good or bad times, in the past and in the future, a time in which LENTU was considered a forbidden god (hence comes the name He chose for Himself and His servant - The Hidden One - the one who is hiding). Other than that he is also a fighter and a woodsman when the needs comes, and even if it is not seen on too much occasions now, he still sometimes is seen roaming around with a Great Lumberjack's Axe on his back.

You can't say he hasn't been around: he has been killed a lot and chopped, cut in two, turned into a vampire, burnt to the ground, sent to the gods in a big explosion and some other unpleasant things but NOTHING YOU CAN DO CAN STOP WHAT I DO FOR MY GOD AND NOTHING YOU CAN SAY CAN TAKE ME AWAY FROM MY GOD.

Those who know him more intimately, know he has earned some other gifts from his god - the art of creation, the ability to conjure magic and the ability to study the lore of Shanki (for believing in Lentu is for the Hidden One the same as believing in himself).

And, to sum it up, perhaps The Hidden One is not Luwain "Don't Fuck With Me", but I wouldn't go and mess around with him if I were you.

A much older description of The Hidden One (mildly alluded to in this recent one) dates from March 1993, preceding what you've just seen by 2 and a half years. It may be outdated, but still interesting. Please look in this document (look here to see the historic situation beyond this description).

To look at The Hidden One from another character's (funny) point of view, read a song which Luwain wrote about him.
