Exposure to Computer Science - Female School Students Conference at the TechnionOn Monday, January 10 2011 the Technion held a special conference which goal was to expose high school female students to the world of hi-tech and to women in leading roles in computer science. The conference was organized together with Israel CS Teachers National Center and the R&D center of Google in Israel as part of a project promoting and encouraging girls to study and graduate in computer science.

A delegation from the CS Department participated in the conference, and spoke in the presence of 530 female students from 37 Israeli secondary schools: Prof Eli Biham - Dean, Prof. Orna Gumberg, Prof. Hagit Attya, CS graduate, Dr. Tammy Tamir (now in the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Herzliya) and CS Ph.D. student Limor Leibovich.
