CS graduate wins Marconi Young Researcher Prize

CS graduate wins Marconi Young Researcher PrizeCongratulations to Eitan Yaacobi, a B.A. and M.Sc. CS graduate and now a Doctoral student at the San Diego Jacobs School of Engineering. Yaccobi will receive the prestigious Marconi Young Researcher Prize, awarded by the Marconi Associationon on a festive dinner during the association conference.

Yaacobi won the prize (together with 5 more awardees) for a contributing research in Network and Information Science and especially in error correcting coding, which reduces costs and expands capacity. The prize is the equivalent of the Nobel Prize in Communication Science.
