Five CS Graduates among Google's 2009 Anita Borg Scholars and Finalists

Five CS Graduates among GoogleThe Department of Computer Science is proud to congratulate our graduate students Keren Censor and Kira Radinsky for receiving the Anita Borg scholarships, and Limor Leibovich, Noga Zewi, and Tamar Aizikowitz for being among the The 2009 Europe, Middle East and North Africa Anita Borg Finalists. All finalists will be invited to visit Google’s Engineering Centre in Zurich for a networking retreat.

Google established the Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship in 2003 to encourage undergraduate and graduate women completing degrees in computer science and related fields to excel in computing and technology and become active role models and leaders in the field. This year, they are awarding 50 scholars and finalists in the U.S., 18 in Canada and 56 in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. Out of these 56, five students are from the Computer Science Department in the Technion.
