Reunion of Technion CS Alumni of the 80’s held on Nov. 1, 2006On November 1st, 2006, Technion’s Computer Science Faculty held its first ever Alumni Reunion, dedicated to alumni who graduated during 1980-1989. More than 300 alumni attended the meeting in the Taub building, where they heard updates from the Technion President and the CS Dean. They also heard a technological presentation from PhD candidate Michael Bronstein on 3D face recognition and a fascinating talk on "The art of change” by serial entrepreneur Shlomo Touboul, himself an alumnus of 1985. The reunion featured a festive dinner and musical entertainment by Marimba artist Ziv Eitan. The alumni were able to meet old friends and wax nostalgic about the good old days at the Technion. Many of the CS faculty who taught the alumni during those years were on hand to greet their ex-students. Pictures and memories from the reunion may be found here
