The CS programming contest

On Tuesday, August 8 2006, the CS programming contest was held. Four teams competed for four hours, attempting to implement successfully as many programs as possible out of a requested set of eight programs. Many of the program submissions were rejected since they failed on tricky inputs prepared by the refereeing committee (Profs. G. Barequet, R. Pinter, and Y. Gil)... The winning team (Marcelo Taube, Kolman Vornovitsky, and Michael Gelfand) implemented successfully 4 programs. The questionnaire of the contest is available here. The winning team will represent our faculty in an international conference which will be held in Romania in late October 2006.
