CS open day draws hundreds of prospective students

CS open day draws hundreds of prospective studentsThe open day of the Technion took place on Thursday, February 24. More than 500 visitors, who came to learn about the department, received information from faculty and graduate students at the special welcome booth and visited the the faculty research labs. The vice-dean for undergraduate studies, Prof. Reuven Bar-Yehuda, gave a general overview of the undergraduate program at the department. Dr. Shaul Markovitch gave a general lecture about Artificial Intelligence. An exceptionally large number of visitors attended both lectures, so exceptional that the first lecture had to be given twice(!). Video films about recent research at the faculty that were shown at the labs received much attention.
