The CS library changed its name. As of May 2004 it is called " Amdocs
Library". This name change is a result of a grant given to the CS
faculty by the Amdocs Co. |

The library staff,
unlike news media people, are reporting the good news. News about new interests
and new developments. We would like to inform you, therefore, that the most
required item in the library during the months Jan.-Feb. 2004 was the material
about dot net, whether in the form of books or discs. What is dot net? The
following definition will answer this:

NET development
is part of Microsofts overall .NET vision to connect information,
people, systems and devices. . NET development centers on the .NET
Framework a unified set of code libraries and a common language
runtime. The .NET Framework provides the foundation for building and
running all kinds of software including stand-alone applications,
web-based applications, and web services used to facilitate integration of systems using
platform-independent communication standards such as XML, SOAP,
and HTTP.
Material about this subject can be located mostly in the
central
library. |

The textbooks loaned at Fishbach library should be returned to the Computer
Science library as of August 2003. The Fishbach library was dissolved and the CS
material can be loaned, from now on, at the CS library. The textbooks loaning
hours will be published at the beginning of the first semester of 2003/2004 |
