Shlomo Dovrat
Shlomo Dovrat is General Partner & Founder in Carmel Ventures. Carmel Ventures was founded in 2000 with $371 million under management, including recently closed second fund.
Shlomo has been a leading business figure in the Israeli high-tech industry for over 20 years. After serving in an elite technology unit within the Israeli Defense Forces, Shlomo began his career as a high-tech entrepreneur, eventually becoming CEO and Chairman of several leading high-tech companies. He was actively involved in different positions in companies including Oshap, MINT, Decalog and Tecnomatix. Shlomo has developed a broad network and excellent reputation within the high-tech industry and the investment community.
Shlomo also serves as Chairman of ECI Telecom (NASDAQ: ECIL), and Unipier Ltd. and on the Board of Directors of Followap Inc. and Proficiency Ltd., all of which are Carmel I portfolio companies.
In 2003, Shlomo was appointed by the Government of Israel as Chairman of the National Task Force for the Advancement of the Educational System. The task force submitted its final report January 2005. Shlomo also was one of the founders of the Israeli Venture Network, an initiative by leading figures in the US and Israeli high-tech community to promote various educational projects throughout Israel.

Eli Reifman
Eli Reifman is one of the four founding partners and a key member of the
senior management team that built Emblaze Systems Ltd. (formerly known as
GEO Interactive Media Group Ltd.) from start-up to a multi-billion dollar,
FTSE 250 Company, listed on the London Stock Exchange.
He is instrumental in
the development of the company's strategic direction and oversees the
worldwide marketing effort. Prior to establishing Emblaze Systems, he was
the head of R&D for the Real-Time Simulation and Training Center of the
Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), which developed real-time simulators for
advanced weaponry systems.
The knowledge gained in the IDF became the basis
for the foundation of Emblaze Systems.
EMBLAZE Systems, formerly GEO Interactive Media Group, is the leading
provider of streaming video solutions over Wireless and IP networks.
The company's worldwide-patented EmblazeTM technology enables encoding and
